Upcoming trip to Colon, May 2017

Hello all!
Kelly Marlynne and I are getting ready for our new trip next month!
We are travelling together to Colon on May 3rd to bring with us medical supplies from HPIC, Health Partners International of Canada and provide support to our friends in Colon.
We also have new projects this year for girls so stay tuned for more information to come!

About the Panama Health Project

The Panama Health Project (PHP) is a small Canadian organization which is trying to make a difference in the "forgotten city" of Colon, Panama.

Colon has numerous problems which include violence, poor education, high crime rate, and social injustices which include gender and racial discrimination, deplorable living conditions, broken homes, hunger and malnutrition.

The PHP works in two local groups:

The Pastoral Penitentiary Group supports the prison population of Colon. Fr. Alan McLellan, the prison chaplain works tirelessly for the rights of the men and women incarcerated. PHP assists by obtaining medicines for the treatment of the prisoners.

Mujeres/Ninos Colonenses en Camino
Women/Children of Colon Walking Together, is a centre which provides women and children with ongoing formation as well as workshops to assist mothers in their personal development and to improve their chances of being able to provide for their families.
